Honors & Awards

The following honors and awards were presented to either Bayside Engineering as a company or to individuals that were representing Bayside Engineering in their community service activities.

  • May 4, 2010: Kimberlee B. DeBosier, PE, President of Bayside Engineering, headquartered in Tampa, FL, has been named a Fellow of the National Society of Professional Engineers. The grade of Fellow honors active Society members who have demonstrated exemplary service to their profession, their Society, and their community. Ms. DeBosier is a former President of the Professional Engineers in Private Practice section (also known as the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers) of the Florida Engineering Society, the state branch of NSPE.
  • Bayside Engineering is proud to announce that the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers (FICE) has selected Bayside President/CEO Kimberlee DeBosier, PE as the 2009 recipient of its prestigious Governor A.W. Gilchrist Award.
  • Bayside has been selected as a finalist for one of the Best Places to Work in 2009 by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
  • David Puigdomenech, PSM, wins Chapter President of the Year of FSMS (Florida Surveying and Mapping Society). Under David's leadership, the Tampa Bay chapter was also awarded Chapter of the Year. This was the first time the Tampa Bay Chapter ever won that recognition.
  • Clean Air Partnership Award
    The Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission has recognized Bayside with a Clean Air Partnership award for Bayside's environmental stewardship by encouraging its employees to work from home when possible.
  • FTBA "Best In Construction" Award
    The Florida Transportation Builders Association recognized Bayside as Engineer of Record for Florida's Best in Construction Award — Rural Category for 2007 for US301 from Fowler Avenue to Holloman's Branch Bridge in Hillsborough County, a Florida Department of Transportation District 7 project.
  • Ranked #1 by Hillsborough County — Twice!
    Bayside received the top ranking from Hillsborough County for its two-year Miscellaneous General Civil Engineering Services and Miscellaneous Stormwater Engineering Services contracts.
  • Selected by Sarasota County
    Sarasota County selected Bayside for its Miscellaneous Engineering Services for Neighborhood Enhancement Projects, Road Improvement Projects and Civil Engineering Studies.
  • SWFWMD Contract Executed
    Bayside is performing regulatory review, evaluation and related work for the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
  • HART Project Underway
    Bayside is part of the team planning the Fixed Route Bus Rapid Transit for the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority.

Professional Achievements

  • February 11, 2010: Patrick Herman, HR Director with Bayside Engineering recently earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). The certification, awarded by the HR Certification Institute, signifies that Mr. Herman possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous examination demonstrating a mastery of the body of knowledge in the field. "Certification as a human resource professional clearly demonstrates a commitment to personal excellence and to the human resource profession," said Mary Power, CAE, Executive Director of the HR Certification Institute. To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive examination and demonstrate a strong background of professional human resource experience. The HR Certification Institute is the credentialing body for human resource professionals and is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest organization dedicated exclusively to the human resource profession. The Institute's purpose is to promote the establishment of professional standards and to recognize professionals who meet those standards.
  • Anastasia LetoBarone, EI, Land Development engineer intern, a professional associate of Bayside Engineering, Inc. of Tampa has earned certification as a LEED Accredited Professional.
  • Jordan Caviggia, PE, obtained licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in 2009 from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.
  • Oliver Rodrigues, PE, PTOE is a graduate in the 2009 program of the Florida Engineering Leadership Institute. In 2009, he received national certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) by the Transportation Professional Certification Board.
  • David Puigdomenech, PSM, is 2009-2010 District 4 Director of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society.
  • Oliver Rodrigues, PE, PTOE is the 2010 President of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Tampa Bay Chapter.
  • Rob Fulp, PE, is the 2009-2010 Regional Director for the Tampa Bay Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers.
  • Jordan Caviggia, PE, is the 2009-2010 Activities and Golf Outing Chair for the Tampa Bay Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers.
  • Kimberly Neal, is the 2009-2010 Webchair for the Tampa Bay Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers.
  • Terri Rayo, CPS, is 2009-2010 Director (1-Year) of the Tampa Bay Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers.
  • FICEKimberlee DeBosier, PE, is Chair of the Advisory Board of the Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of South Florida. Also, as immediate past president of the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers, she is Co-Chair of the 2007-08 Florida Engineering Leadership Institute.
