Bayside Employees Participate in Great American Teach-In

Bayside employees participated in the "Great American Teach-In" at three Hillsborough County schools. Bayside Surveying and Mapping Program Director, Mark West, PLS, who has participated six times in previous years, spoke about surveying to classes at Lake Magdalene Elementary and had an overall fun experience. Bayside Land Development Program Director, Chris Dausch, PE, spoke to his sons' fourth grade class at Hammond Elementary on the many types of engineering using an FES PowerPoint presentation. Bayside Human Resources Director, Patrick Herman, PHR, devoted his time to 4th and 5th graders at Ernest Just Elementary School with a presentation entitled "Plan B." Based on Patrick's life experience, he encouraged students to follow their dreams, but always have a "Plan B" because life can throw a curve ball. Patrick is a ten year "veteran" of the Teach-In and is happy that the program is supported by Bayside.

As part of Bayside's ongoing community commitment, we are currently volunteering as judges, mentors, and a sponsor in the Tampa Bay Regional 2007-2008 Competition for Future Cities. More...
