ENGINEER V
March 2010Reports to: Practice Leader, Program Director
Education: Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience: Seven (7) years of progressive work experience in the Civil Engineering field with a specific area of Engineering identified. LEED Accredited Professional and Registered as a current Florida Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
Description: Position takes a responsible role in the design and project management of land development, particularly eco-friendly projects (Project Manager). The employee independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria on moderately complex projects.
Plans and conducts work requiring judgment regarding independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Plans, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates detailed phases of assignment project work. Works closely with senior level leadership to gain practice knowledge and management experience. Makes design recommendations, adaptations and modifications. Performs calculations using engineering formulas and skills. Completes own design work using computer-aided drafting techniques. Prepares reports and correspondence concerning the direction of assigned projects being worked on. Serves as a technical advisor to other project team members as needed. May devise new approaches to problems encountered. Participates in marketing, sales and business development efforts as appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned by their supervisor.
As a Project Manager, this role will develop and maintain contacts within professional, business, civic and social environments via effective networking groups and affiliations. Identifying new project opportunities and promote the firm's capabilities, qualifications, experiences and services to current and potential clients. Prepare project qualification and experience (Q & E) statements, project proposals and participate in project selection and presentations for the firm. Follow-up on project solicitation to determine selection criteria, evaluate chances of being selected and develop additional project marketing strategies for the department. Effectively utilize Deltek Vision for Client Relationship Management (CRM) to track companies, contacts, opportunities, activities and history to ensure information is accurate and up to date. Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
SENIOR PROFESSIONAL (REGISTERED/CERTIFIED IN FLORIDA)

Experience: Ten (10) years of progressive work experience in the Civil Engineering field with a specific area of Engineering identified. Registered as a current Florida Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Land Planner (AICP) is required. LEED Accredited Professional is preferred.

As a Practice Leader, this role performs all of the duties and responsibilities of a Project Manager. Additionally, the Practice Leader will prepare and regularly monitor the Eco-Engineering Business Development Plan (BDP) and report status of performance monthly. Provide fiscal management of the program to meet budget, revenue and profitability goals including invoicing and cost control. Will oversee all project managers within the practice for individual performance and fulfillment of business development duties and responsibilities. Ensure timely updates of all practice information in the CRM database. Participate in Corporate Business Development/Marketing meetings and present progress of the practice's BDP. Evaluate client satisfaction results and make necessary adjustments to meet needs and expectations. Meet with and maintain current clients to ensure satisfaction and continual participation as a client. Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

CEI Project Administrator
February 2010Reports to: Sr. Project Engineer
Education: High School Diploma/GED minimum. Bachelor degree is a plus.
Experience: Degreed Engineer: Two (2) years of engineering experience in construction of major roadway and bridge projects are required.
Non-degreed personnel, eight (8) years of responsible and related engineering experience plus two (2) years which involved construction of major road or bridge structures. Familiarization and experienced with FDOT's Construction Project Administration Manual and related FDOT publications are required.
Description: The CEI Project Administrator will provide overall administrative and technical directions for projects. They will be responsible to oversee several projects on-going at the same time, depending on the size of the projects. Projects may include FDOT, local government and non-public entity clients.
Duties include the responsibility of day to day field operations and ensuring that projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, contract and schedule. This includes interfacing and coordinating with many people including but not limited to client, engineers, contractor, subcontractors, utility owners/agents, public agency officials and their respective representatives, and with the public. They will need to plan, coordinate and/or supervise field activities and field office activities of all personnel assigned to the projects. They will recommend and request personnel transactions (i.e. hiring, transfers, and wages), and purchase requests under supervision of the Project Manager and/or Sr. Project Engineer. They are responsible for maintaining official project and company documentation with the assistance of subordinate staff and assisting with the implementation/interpretation of safety programs and Quality Assurance/Quality Control programs. Other responsibilities include providing direction to planning, scheduling and engineering functions as required and involvement in marketing activities including, but not limited to meetings, presentations and preparation of proposals.
This individual will perform moderate to complex engineering calculations, provides technical support to team members such as organizing, compiling and manipulating data, checking calculations, reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications and other submittals.
