For 2010, Bayside is closed Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve as company holidays. In addition, we observe Memorial Day, Independence Day (day before/after July 4th), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day as company holidays.


Full-time employees accrue a maximum of three (3) weeks of PTO (personal time off) per year beginning on January 1st. PTO is used for sick, vacation, appointments, etc.


In addition, full time employees are able to carry-over from year/year a maximum of 80 PTO (personal time off) hours each year. For new employees starting after January 1st - their PTO will be prorated accordingly, which is covered during Orientation. For employees separating from Bayside, PTO is prorated accordingly and the balance is addressed by Human Resources. Personal leave will be used for sick time, vacation, doctor appointments, etc. Personal leave used as vacation of more than three (3) consecutive work days must receive approval two (2) weeks in advance.
